Privacy Policy

Effective 9 October 2026. Plain answers to: what data, why, for how long, and how to opt out.

1. Summary

Emoji-Combos.com has no user accounts and shows no ads. We collect usage statistics to improve the tools, keep short server logs for security, and store messages you send through the contact form. We do not sell personal data.

2. Usage statistics

What: pages opened, tool actions (copy, generate), referrer, approximate location, device and browser type, screen size, language.

How: the site sends these events to its own endpoint, which forwards them to Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Protocol). No Google scripts run in your browser.

Cookie mode (after "Allow"): a random ID in a first-party cookie links your visits; your IP is used by Google for location lookup and is not stored by Google Analytics.

Cookie-free mode (default, or after "Reject"): no cookies or persistent storage; a temporary ID lives in the current tab only; the IP is shortened (last block removed) on our server before forwarding.

Retention: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.

3. Server logs

The web server records IP address, request, time and user agent to detect attacks and errors. Logs rotate daily and are deleted after 7 days.

4. Contact form

We store: your message, topic, optional name and email, time, and a hashed IP (spam protection). A copy is sent to the operator's private messenger for a fast reply. Deleted within 12 months or on request.

5. Data stored in your browser

Favorites and your cookie choice are saved locally. The full list is on the Cookies page.

6. Processors

  • Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
  • Google — Google Analytics 4 statistics.
  • EU-based hosting provider — server, logs, contact messages.

7. Legal basis

Cookie-mode statistics: your consent (withdraw any time). Cookie-free statistics, logs and spam protection: legitimate interest in running a secure, useful site. Contact messages: your request to communicate.

8. Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of data we hold about you, object to processing, and complain to a data-protection authority. Send requests via the contact form with the topic "Privacy request". Opt out of cookies on the Cookies page.

9. Children

Not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Updates

Changes are published on this page with a new effective date.
